Biography
Originally from Woodstock, Illinois, I began my scientific career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. At the University of Iowa, I then completed my Master’s degree in Pathology in the Karandikar Lab researching the role B cells play in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis. Now in the Boyden Lab here at Iowa, I am pursuing a PhD in Experimental Pathology. My research focuses on exploring the mechanisms by which B cells alter the pathogenic and/or regulatory character of T cells in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis.
